Recommend a book to a friend.

The book I have read and I really like is called Life On The Refrigerator Door and it by Alice Kuipers. The book is about a girl and her mom that don't have the best relationship and her mom don't have a lot of time on her hands so she leaves notes on the refrigerator every time she leaves. She is not very nice to her mom. Then her mom finds out she is really sick with cancer and she might not fight it. At the end of the book her mom ends up dying. I think this book was a really sad but good at the same time. Why I liked this book is because the girl was really mean to her mom. Then she started being really nice and telling her mom how she felt about their relationship. By the end of the book they were like best friend. I think kids that are mean and not very nice to they parents should read this book.

Opinion of the book.

My opinion about the book we finished is I like how Rowdy and Junior started talking again but the thing I didn't like about the book is how Junior gets picked on a lot. I also think the book is really funny. I really like how the author wrote the book. I like how there picture in the book not just words.

Indian reservations are areas of land given to Native American tribes by the United States Government. In the 1850-60s the Government decided to move Indians to land that was unwanted by settlers. Many of the tribes did not want to move to new lands and refused. Soon the government sent in the U.S. Army force them to move to the new reservation lands. This caused many bloody wars between the Indians and the U.S. Army. Eventually, most Indians did move to the reservations. Today, reservations are run by their own tribal council, and less than half of Indians live on the reservations. Many of the Indians who live off the reservations live in large western cities, like Phoenix and Los Angeles.

Likes and dislikes about the book im reading.

I'm reading a book called Because of Winn-Dixie. My favorite part about the book is when she found the dog in the grocery store. The dog was all wet and dirty and making a big mess. The person that worked there was yelling "who's dog is this" and everyone was just looking at the dog, and no one was claiming it, so the little girl was like his mine but really he wasn't. The grocery store was called Winn-Dixie so she just yelled Winn-Dixie and the dog went right up to her like that was his name, but I'm not far in the book, so I don't know whats going to happens next I have no dislikes about the book so far.

Any place in the world I would go?

If I could go any where in the world it would be Hawaii. I would go there because its really pretty and the water there is really warm. I bet there is lots to do there. I mean really you would never be bored because you can always just go walk on the beach, or if you know how to surfboard you can just go do that. My uncle lived there for six years and just moved back a year ago. He moved back because he has two kids here that are still young and he wants to be here for them, but he is moving back there when they turn 18. My uncle said that Hawaii is a way better place to live then this place. That's where I will be going someday.

Thanksgiving week.

For my Thanksgiving week off, I'm going to be at home relaxing with my boyfriend because he has been gone for five days, but for Thanksgiving we are going to my family dinner at three, and that would be at my aunt's house because its really big and there will be lots of room for all of us. Then we have to go to his family dinner at six, but we have to go his mom's and dad's because they are not together anymore. So we are going to his mom's house at six then his dad's at like seven. Thanksgiving is going to be a busy day, but after Thanksgiving is a big shopping day. My aunt and I get up at like five and we go to lots of store because they have really good sales its call black out. Its so much funn Ilove it.

I think the title of this book means that he is half Indian and half white. I also think that he might be talking about his life and what happens in it. I know that he gets treated different no matter what. I think the author chose this title to get to people that it doesn't matter what you look like or how you act, treat people the same.

Describe our book.

Junior is quiet and friendly. He has two side of him. He has a white side like high class. Then he has a white trash side. He has a family history of diabetes and cancer. He also get picked on a lot by everyone but his best friend.

what I'm doing today.

Today my sister is moving to Coos Bay. So after school my mom is going to pick my best friend and I up. We are going to run some errands. Then we're going to go pick up my sister and my cousin and we're going to go out to lunch. After lunch we're taking them to Coos Bay.

The skin i'm in.

I'm reading a book called The Skin I'm In. Its about a girl that is still in high school and she gets picked on by two other girls.She is a bigger girl and she likes to eat a lot, but she hates eating in front of all of them because they are mean and make fun of her. I dislike the book because I don't like when people get picked on. People should just mine their own business, and not care about anyone else but their self.

Poem we read in class. (The Portrait)

The Portrait poem is very sad. Its about a women getting beat and about her husband killing himself. Its sad how he killed himself and how she never told her son about his father. One day the boy went in the attic and found a picture of this guy. So he took it down to his mom and she ripped it into shreds without saying a word and slapped him hard and in his sixty-fourth year he can still feel his cheek burning. I think the author wrote this because he is trying to make a point. How the boy shouldn't of got treated like that. The boy didn't know who that guy was in that picture and all he wanted was to know who that guy was. I think his mom took it way to far and hurt her son. Now her son will never forget that. I didn't like the poem because I think know one should not know who there father is. They are going to want to know who there father is one of these days.

A song I like is called ''Best I Ever Had'' by Drake. Its about someone who means everything to them. Also how they want you for who you are. They don't care if you don't have make-up on or just chilling in your sweat pants, and how they can be together for ever and do it real big, meaning having a good job and making good money.

Family tradition.

My family tradition is every Friday night my whole family gets together and has taco night. We always had Friday night taco when my granny was still alive, and she would always have it at her house. Then when my grandma passed her kids Brenda, Brigett, Clayton, and Bonnie started doing it. Now my aunt Brenda does it at her house every Friday night. We also go camping every summer at Detroit and Sand Lake. I love going to Sand Lake because I get to ride four wheelers and its a blast. Detroit I like it but its not as fun has Sand Lake. When I'm at Detroit I'm on a boat from like six in the morning to like seven at night and by the time I get off the boat I look like a lobster.

About my weekend.

My weekend was okay Jacob and I went to my cousins birthday and he turned two. He got a little four wheeler, and lots of cool thing. I also had some friends over and we had a blast. Then when everyone left it was just Jacob, Cassidy and I and we went and got something to eat we went to Jack in the box then went home and went to bed.

A place I would never want to go again.

I don't really have a place that I wouldn't go back to. I never really been to a place I don't like, and if I didn't like what I hear about it then I wouldn't go there in the first place. I'm the tape of person that's down for whatever if there's something to do then ill go and do something not just sit at home.

What I remember about September 11th.

What I remember about September 11th is one morning I got up and was getting ready for school and my mom turned on the t.v and it was on. Then when I went to school everyone was talking about it and the teachers and some of the kids were crying. Most of the day everyone was talking about it. We also watched it at school every morning. My experience about September 11th really didn't effect me, but yeah I was sad for the people who were on the airplanes and in the twin towers.

Why do people become addicted?

I think people have addiction because they do one thing and get bored with it so they want to try something new and they just keep doing them and doing them. I also think people become addicted because they are depressed.

Why is school important?

I think its important to go to school because if you didn't have an education you would go nowhere in life. I come to school so I can do something with my life in the long run. I also want to go to college and make my mom proud. I want to become something big so I make lots of money. I also come to school because its the law and so my mom doesn't get a fine.

If I lost everything in a natural disaster.

If I lost everything in a natural disaster the first thing I would save would have to be my mom and sister.Then I would try to save all my clothes and shoes. I would also save these bells of my moms that were my grandmas and she would always hang them on her front door. Then after my grandma passed away mom my started to hang them on the door.

What does dedication mean.

Dedication in my life means that if your really trying to do something you can do it. My dedication in my life right now is school and getting a job. I didn't do good last year so I'm trying to go more and not miss any school. I'm trying to get a job so I stay on track with life and not mess it up.

My favorite food.

My favorite foods are my moms homemade chicken noddle soup. I also like her choriso with eggs in the morning its the best with a glass of milk. My favorite restaurant is Red Robbin. When I go there I always eat a chicken Cesar wrap with a Pepsi.

Most important preson in my like.

The most important person in my life would have to be my brother Nate. He is one amazing person. He would do anything for me in a heart beat. When he was my age he was not a very good kid. He was really bad into drugs and stuff like that. Then something really bad happened and he went to prison for two years. Now he is back on track and doing good for him self. He has been clean for three years now. He influences me because I saw him do really bad things then pick him self up. Because of what I have seen my brother do, I know what's bad and I know what's better for me.

My favorite music.

My favorite music is hip hop and country. I listen to more hip hop then country. I really like the song Best I Ever Had by Lil Wayne. He is my favorite hip hop artist. I also like Too Short.

What you think about the speech.

My opinion on Obama speech. Is that he is so right about how kids cant try. Every kid can try. What I don't think is right is school is not made for everybody. They can try but just some time it just don't work.

Favorite thing to do on my spare time.

I love kicking it with my friends. I'm always with my best friend Cassidy. My favorite thing is to go swimming. I also like going riding at Sand Lake with my family.

Interesting about my summer.

My summer was to fun. I went camping in Detroit. I got so sun burnt that the last day I was in Detroit I couldn't even go in the sun because it hurt so bad. I even had to take a cold shower because it was that bad.

Sunny weekend

I went out of town on Friday to see my Grams. She is not doing too well. I did still have fun. I went swimming. Then I came back to Salem on Saturday and then went to Portland and had a blast. I went shopping when I was there. I got to see my best friend. That was cool. We had lots of fun. I also went tanning out in the sun.

I think that Lily is the queen bee. It seems like everything is about her.
